A showroom with a view

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the European Ecolabel, the certification scheme established by the European Commission that identifies products and services meeting environmental standards. To celebrate the occasion, PRACSIS helped the Commission build and operate a pop-up showroom to promote the wide range of products that carry the European Ecolabel—from textiles and furniture to detergents and cosmetics.Built at the top of the beautiful Mont des Arts in Brussels, and operating for five days, the showroom gave the public an opportunity to learn about Europe’s most trusted ecolabel and its growth over the past 25 years. Presenters were appointed to speak with passers-by about the principles of the EU Ecolabel and to answer questions about the products on display.Official visits to the showroom were made by Karmenu Vella, EU Commissioner for Environment and Marie-Christine Marghem, Belgian Federal Minister of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development. The showroom was also covered by local and European press.
