Setting the stage for a new European Green Capital

European Green Capital - Handover Ceremony 2016

Last month, PRACSIS organized another handover ceremony of the European Green Capital Award. This is the annual event that marks the transfer of the European Green Capital title from one city to another—this year, Ljubljana took over the reins from the city of Bristol.

The ceremony was held at the spectacular Museum of Musical Instruments in Brussels, but viewers anywhere in the world could watch live through a webcast operated by PRACSIS; and many did—nearly 100 unique viewers from 17 countries. A recording of the event can be viewed in its entirety here.

As we happily announced last November, PRACSIS now also runs the secretariat for the European Green Capital and European Green Leaf programmes. Under the 2,8 million euro contract, PRACSIS is delivering full secretariat and public relations services for the awards: management of the application procedure, organisation of expert meetings, promotion of the competition, and stakeholder engagement.
