European Business Awards for the Environment

Aim of the project

The European Business Awards for Environment are awarded every two years to companies which in terms of management, product, production process or international cooperation make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development.

Only companies which have already been awarded a national prize are eligible for the European Awards. The ultimate aim of the Awards is – via the recognition and promotion of the “best companies in Europe” – to disseminate environmental best practices, relay the message that environmental awareness can enhance companies’ competitiveness and accordingly, to motivate positive change within the business sector towards environmentally friendly conduct.

Solutions provided by PRACSIS

As the Secretariat for the European Business Awards for Environment, PRACSIS is responsible for administrative tasks related to preparing for the Award Ceremony and for promoting both the European level Award scheme and the participating companies.

Concretely, PRACSIS is responsible for:

  • Receiving and processing entries for the Awards and preparing files containing all necessary documents for the members of the Jury;

  • Updating the European Environmental Business Awards’ website;

  • Developing layout and content for promotional tools like posters and brochures;

  • Promoting the Awards and establishing synergies with major European environmental networks;

  • Conducting a best practice survey among the national coordinators on how to organize and promote national award schemes;

  • Conducting an impact assessment among previous European Award winning companies.
