The future of energy efficiency in Central and South Eastern Europe

On 28 June, PRACSIS organised its tenth public event for Sustainable Energy Investment Forums, the European Commission programme that aims to boost financing for energy efficiency in EU member states.Organised in partnership with the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy and the UN Environment Finance Initiative, the event took place in the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel in Sofia.The objective of this event—organised in the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency and followed by the High-Level Ministerial Event of the Central and South-Eastern European Energy Connectivity (CESEC) in Sofia —was to reinforce dialogue on energy efficiency finance with key stakeholders in Central and South-Eastern Europe in order to identify common objectives and potential improvements to the policy framework within the country.Working sessions were devoted to policy dialogue on energy efficiency financing and how to pay for renovations in public buildings and residential buildings.PRACSIS was responsible for all practical organisation and logistics for the event, including streaming the conference online with 116 unique viewers across more than 20 countries.
