PRACSIS organises Green Week: Investing for a greener future

gw2016

Earlier this month, PRACSIS organised Green Week 2016, Europe’s largest series of events on environment policy. In line with the Juncker Commission’s priorities of creating jobs and growth in Europe, this year’s Green Week carried the theme ‘Investing for a greener future’.

Green Week succeeded in reaching out to all of Europe, thanks to its web streamed events, its extensive social media coverage and its many international visitors. At the same time, Green Week was a high-class event, thanks to its high-level speakers, its modern venue and perfect event logistics.

PRACSIS didn’t leave an avenue unexplored to organise a first-class event. PRACSIS developed the event website, branded as a leading European Commission event. The website allowed for easy navigation, user-friendly registrations and a clear overview of the event’s programme.

PRACSIS also delivered an attractive, eye-catching visual identity, depicting the theme of the conference and supporting its message. It was used for the branding of the venue, website and conference materials but also featured on a special gift for participants: a Green Week own version of the popular Rubik’s cube.

PRACSIS ensured a smooth conference through its registration system, welcome desk, travel arrangements for speakers and guests and room and location management.

With the EGG, PRACSIS has again chosen the right venue for a versatile, interactive event, giving a modern, trendy touch to Green Week 2016. The venue perfectly allowed for catering, networking and an exhibition, while at the same time serving as a gallery: photographs from LIFE projects from across Europe adorned the walls of the EGG.

Green Week could also be followed online. The website’s live page featuring a real-time Twitter feed, showing enthusiastic tweeting using #EUGreenWeek. The live section also offered news, the latest statements from Commissioner Vella and a daily conference roundup.

PRACSIS’s in-house web streaming services also enabled a live experience of sessions in Brussels and side events in Ljubljana and Vienna. In the EU’s Green Capital Ljubljana, Director-General of DG Environment Daniel Calleja opened the Green Week, which was shown on the Green Week website. In Vienna, PRACSIS streamed a meeting with the Commissioner for the Environment Karmenu Vella and speakers from the United Nations.
