Order of the day: organising the ‘Clean Air Forum’ in Paris

PRACSIS was in Paris this month to organise the European Commission’s Clean Air Forum at the magnificent Hôtel de Ville. The two-day event was attended by more than 300 hundred people and viewed online by another 450—proving yet again the added value of web streaming services. The recordings will be made available soon on the Clean Air Forum website, which is built and operated by PRACSIS’s web team.High interest in the conference was thanks to an impressive lineup of speakers, which included Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and three former and current European commissioners: Dacian Cioloș, Karmenu Vella, and Pierre Moscovici.PRACSIS took care of practically everything in the run up to the forum and during the event itself: promotion, online and print publication and editing, agenda design, travel arrangements for speakers, venue logistics and catering, interpretation services, mise-en-scène, control room operation, webstreaming, and so on.PRACSIS also unveiled a new registration and wireless badge-printing system that allows attendees to be processed faster and more efficiently. This means shorter queues in venues like the Paris city hall that have tight security. And the faster participants can take their seats, the easier it is to stick to the day’s schedule.
