Duration of project: 2 Conferences in October 2001
Aim of the project: Throughout the Belgian Presidency of the EU, urban policy figured prominently on the European agenda, triggered by the Minister of Economic and Financial affairs. In this framework, PRACSIS co-organised 2 conferences to promote European urban policy.
Solutions provided by PRACSIS: Conference 1: European conference on the co-operation between public and private sectors in urban organisation.

PRACSIS was responsible for the content delivery of the conference, namely:
  • production and publication of the final report in 3 languages;
  • media relations

Conference 2: European conference on citizen participation and urban policy in large European cities

PRACSIS was responsible for the content related parts of the conference, mainly:
  • drawing up of the programme;
  • production of the preparatory documents;
  • minute-taking for the plenary session and the workshops;
  • drafting of summaries;
  • distribution of summaries at 9h00 the next morning to the 250 participants;
  • translation and simultaneous interpretation;
  • drafting and publishing of the final report in 3 languages.
